Azerbaijani official Elchin Amirbayov suggests that the Zangezur corridor could help Armenia break out of isolation, generate transit fees, and enhance its relations with Turkey. Amirbayov also mentioned that an alternative route through Iran could be established if Armenia rejects the proposal. The corridor, which separates Azerbaijan from its exclave Nakhchivan, is only 34 kilometers long.
