Australia's federal government awarded its first six feasibility licences for offshore wind projects in the Gippsland zone, with six more pending. The 12 projects, if proven feasible, could generate 25GW of electricity, significantly surpassing the state's entire last-year generation. The Gippsland Skies Offshore Wind project is among the first six, with Reventus Power receiving legal counsel from Allens on securing the license.
