11 US citizens and 11 other camp residents, including children, were repatriated from northeastern Syria.

The US State Department repatriated 11 American citizens from camps in northeastern Syria that house relatives of suspected Islamic State militants, in the largest operation of its kind to date. The repatriation involved five children and one non-US child, a 9-year-old sibling of one of the others. In addition, the US facilitated the repatriation of 11 other camp residents, including eight children, to Canada, the Netherlands, and Finland.
