8th-grade teacher, Christine Paige Cockrell, faces charges of indecency with a child and possession of child pornography with intent to distribute, after a high school student reported exchanging nude photos and engaging in sexting with her on Instagram. The student claimed the inappropriate communication began in October 2023. Cockrell admitted to messaging students on Instagram but could not recall if a photograph of her breasts was sent in the chats.
