New Zealand's core Crown tax revenue was $1.2bn below forecast at $88.5bn for Mar 2024.

New Zealand's interim financial statements for the nine months to 31 March 2024 show core Crown tax revenue was $1.2bn (1.3%) below forecast at $88.5bn. The variance was mainly due to corporate tax and net other individuals' taxes, which were $1.7bn and $0.3bn below forecast, respectively. The government collected $1.2bn less core Crown tax than forecast during the period, partly offset by higher individual taxes due to faster-than-normal nominal wage growth.
