Maine's Governor Janet Mills has signed an executive order to boost the number of women in the state's construction industry. Women currently account for only 15% of the industry in Maine, and 11% nationally. The Governor aims to help the state achieve its infrastructure project goals and directs state agencies to collaborate with industry professionals to incentivize more women to join the trades.
