Highlands Elementary School unveiled an inclusive playground with wheelchair-accessible structures and autism-focused features after a two-year build.

Highlands Elementary School in Appleton has unveiled a new inclusive playground for all students, featuring wheelchair-accessible play structures, swings with high backs and harnesses, imaginative play opportunities for students in wheelchairs, and activity/sensory panels for autistic students. The playground took two years to build and was funded in part by the Highlands and Odyssey Magnet School Fun Run.
