169 drivers were caught drink- or drug-driving over the bank holiday weekend, with one driver caught speeding every four minutes, according to new garda figures. This year, 71 people have died on the roads, 15 more than at the same time last year. Road Safety Authority's David Martin states that driver distraction, particularly the use of mobile phones, is another significant issue.
