Claremore Public Schools closed on May 7 due to a nearby business receiving a bomb threat. The school district made the decision out of an "abundance of caution," despite the threat being unrelated to the schools. The business, Baker Hughes, located across the street from Will Rogers Junior High, Claremore High School, and Roosa Elementary, was evacuated. Police investigated but found no devices.
