Catalonia, Spain, eased water restrictions for the first time since its February drought emergency declaration. Recent rainfall raised reservoir levels to 25% from 16%, allowing increased water use limits for 6 million residents (from 200 to 230 liters per day) and reduced saving requirements for farmers and industrial users. However, the drought is not over, warns the government spokeswoman.
