Broadcaster Paul Byrne and his employer Virgin Media Television have agreed to mediate a legal dispute over internal disciplinary proceedings against him. Byrne claims the process is flawed and has sued his employer. The matter was mentioned before Mr Justice Mark Sanfey, who agreed to postpone the case until June to allow for mediation. Previously, Byrne was suspended after a live report about the death of a young boy in Co Waterford.
