Binance CEO Richard Teng has accused Nigeria of setting a "dangerous new precedent" after two executives were detained during a crackdown on crypto. Teng claimed the company had been asked for a large payment to make problems "go away" and repeated calls for the release of Tigran Gambaryan, one of the detained employees. He added that despite Binance's efforts to engage constructively with Nigerian authorities, Gambaryan remains in detention.
