Australia's Albanese government plans to invest AUD 566 million over a decade in data, mapping, and tools to boost exploration and development in the country's resources industry. The 'Future Made in Australia' policy includes the creation of a comprehensive soil and seabed map to identify new deposits of critical minerals for clean energy and traditional minerals like iron ore and gold. Mapping funding commences July 1 and extends to offshore areas for carbon capture and storage, as well as clean hydrogen projects.
