Amazon has launched its online shopping service in South Africa, entering the market dominated by Naspers' Takealot.com. The e-commerce giant's entry into South Africa follows a sharp rise in online shopping after the pandemic accelerated e-commerce adoption. Amazon.co.za will offer same-day and next-day delivery with over 3,000 pickup points, and free delivery on first orders and subsequent orders above 500 rand ($27.07).
