Alberta and Saskatchewan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on nuclear power generation. This joint effort aims to develop a sustainable and reliable energy source to meet future demands. Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe indicated that a small modular reactor (SMR) "quite likely" will be located in the Estevan area, with a final decision on SMR implementation expected in 2029.
