ZCTU calls for minimum wages adjustment in Zimbabwe due to inflation and currency devaluation.

Zimbabwe Congress Trade Union (ZCTU) urges national employment councils (NECs) to set minimum wages in line with cost of living. This follows worker complaints that wages haven't increased with inflation, as the Zimdollar (ZWL$) lost 700% value, causing workers to demand pay pegged to the greenback. The Commercial Sectors of Zimbabwe NEC has since raised wages, ensuring the lowest-paid employee receives $295 or its equivalent in Zimbabwe Gold.
