42-year-old stunt pilot and Spanish Unlimited Aerobatic Flight Champion Olivier Masurel tragically lost his life in a mid-air collision with a vulture during his return flight from San Javier Air Show in Spain. Masurel was en route to Madrid when the accident occurred. He was part of Spain's National Aerobatic Flying Team and represented the country in the 31st World Aerobatic Flying Championship, winning a Team Silver Medal.
