58-year-old Jacob Alonge, who escaped during the 2020 #EndSARS protest from Benin Correctional Centre in Edo State, has been rearrested by state police command. Alonge was serving a 21-year sentence for raping his own daughter. The Edo State Police Commissioner, Funsho Adegboye, confirmed the arrest and revealed that operatives received credible intelligence that Alonge was sighted in Ossos, Akoko-Edo local government area.
