On May 5th, during a Cinco de Mayo operation in Milwaukee, a 29-year-old police officer was shot but did not return fire. He sustained non-fatal injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Three persons of interest are in custody, and two firearms have been recovered. The Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) is seeking additional information and has thanked the Milwaukee Fire Department for their assistance.
