20-year-old defenseman Seamus Casey, a Hobey Baker nominee from the University of Michigan, has signed a three-year entry-level contract with the New Jersey Devils. Casey, who finished third among NCAA defensemen with 45 points (7 goals, 38 assists), had been drafted 46th overall in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. He will leave a significant gap in Michigan's team lineup for the next season.
