99-year-old D-Day veteran Charles Shay, a Penobscot tribe citizen from Maine, is set to take part in the 80th anniversary celebrations of the Normandy landings, which led to the liberation of France and Europe from Nazi Germany occupation. Shay, who was a 19-year-old medic during the invasion, recalls being prepared to give his life to save others. Now, he spreads a message of peace with tireless dedication.
