79-year-old British actor Bernard Hill, known for his roles in "Titanic" and "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, has passed away, his agent confirmed. Born in Manchester in 1944, Hill portrayed King Theoden in the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy and Captain Edward Smith in the 1997 film "Titanic". He was due to attend Comic Con in Liverpool on Saturday but withdrew due to his partner becoming ill. Hill's family and colleagues have shared their condolences and tributes on social media.
