Tennessee Task Force 2 deploys to Texas to aid with devastating flooding; members of multiple Middle Tennessee emergency response agencies head to Texas following floods that have left hundreds stranded. The Nashville Fire Department announced the deployment, which came at the request of Texas officials under the Emergency Management Assistance Compact (EMAC), a mutual-aid agreement among US states and territories.
