Singapore Airlines buys 1,000 tonnes of sustainable aviation fuel from Neste, marking the first acquisition from Neste's largest global SAF facility.
Singapore Airlines buys 1,000 tonnes of sustainable aviation fuel from Neste, a Finnish clean energy firm. The low-carbon jet fuel will be blended with conventional fuel for use by Singapore Airlines and its budget arm, Scoot. This marks the first acquisition of low-carbon jet fuel from Neste's refinery in Singapore, which has the capacity to produce one million tonnes of SAF annually, making it the largest such facility globally. SAFs, made entirely from renewable waste and residue materials, can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80% over their life cycle.
