Selangor FC player Faisal Halim, who scored the Asian Cup's Goal of the Tournament, suffered second-degree burns in an acid attack at a shopping mall in Kota Damansara. Faisal is in stable condition and receiving treatment for burns on his neck, shoulder, arm, and chest. Football Association of Malaysia president Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin advised him to take a break from football during recovery.
