Nigeria's SERAP sues governors and FCT Minister over unaccounted N5.9 trillion loans.

Nigeria's Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) filed a lawsuit against the country's governors and Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike for failing to account for N5.9 trillion ($11.4 billion) in loans and $4.6 billion loans obtained by their states and the Federal Capital Territory. SERAP also urged the court to direct the governors and Wike to invite the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission to investigate the spending of the loans.
