Nairobi County Assembly Member Robert Alai defied orders to explain attendance at a meeting with Kenya's Deputy President, allegedly promoting Kenya Kwanza Alliance policies.
Nairobi County Assembly Member, Robert Alai, defied orders to explain why he attended a meeting convened by Kenya's Deputy President, Rigathi Gachagua. Alai, along with two other MCAs, was required to justify their attendance as they allegedly advanced Kenya Kwanza Alliance policies, contrary to the Political Parties Act. Alai argued that the meeting focused on the Nairobi Rivers Action plan and that it was counterproductive to restrict elected officials from attending such meetings.
