India and Ghana agree to link payment systems UPI and GHIPSS for instant, low-cost fund transfers.

India and Ghana have agreed to link their payment systems, UPI (Unified Payments Interface) and Ghana's GHIPSS (Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems), for instant, low-cost fund transfers. The countries are also discussing a Memorandum of Understanding on Digital transformation Solutions, Local Currency Settlement System, and the African Continental Free Trade Agreement. They aim to operationalize NPCI's UPI on Ghana's GHIPSS within six months.
