The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Ghana's Walewale constituency faces internal conflict over the reaffirmation of Dr. Kabiru Tia Mahama as their 2024 parliamentary candidate. Constituency Chairman Mohammed Janda Muniru announced the decision, but Secretary Wuni Yidana disputed it, as the matter is pending before the High Court in Tamale. The NPP has been granted until May 23 to announce the outcome of an amicable settlement attempt outside of court.
