General Practitioners Aotearoa (GPA) supports New Zealand Resident Doctors Association's (NZRDA) strike on May 7, warning that if Te Whatu Ora Health NZ doesn't address funding issues, GPs may also take action. GPA Chair Dr Buzz Burrell says undervaluing junior doctors contributes to health system problems. If pay cut proposals and SECA amalgamation proceed, first-year GPs could see salary cuts.
