Janet Jackson will perform at the 2024 Essence Festival of Culture in New Orleans instead of her planned appearance at the Smoothie King Center this summer. Originally scheduled for July 23, Jackson's performance at the Smoothie King Center has been canceled, and she will now headline one of the three nights of concerts at the annual festival, which runs from July 5 to July 7. This marks Jackson's fourth appearance at the Essence Festival.
