CBI arrests FSSAI assistant director Amol Jagtap and three others for accepting a bribe of Rs 1.20 lakh in exchange for clearing pending bills of a private testing lab, Reliable Analytical Laboratories. The lab, which was notified for the analysis of samples forwarded by FSSAI, was allegedly involved in bribery with the FSSAI official. During the investigation, CBI seized Rs 37.3 lakh in cash, 45 grams of gold, and documents related to immovable properties.
