BSNL to nationwide launch 4G services in August, using indigenous technology.
BSNL, India's state-owned telecom company, is set to launch 4G services nationwide using indigenous technology in August. The company has already introduced 4G services in Punjab, with a peak speed of 40-45 Mbps. BSNL has installed over 9,000 4G towers across India and has awarded contracts worth around Rs 19,000 crore to TCS, Tejas Networks, and ITI for deploying its 4G network, which is upgradable to 5G.
