Azerbaijan's ANAMA cleared 2,046 hectares of land from mines in liberated territories, but faces challenges due to potential inaccuracies in Armenia's minefield maps.
Azerbaijan's National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) reported from April 29 to May 5, 2024, clearing 2,046.3 hectares of land from 53 anti-tank mines, 26 anti-personnel mines, and 378 unexploded ordnance in the country's liberated territories. However, the accuracy of minefield maps submitted by Armenia is under suspicion, posing challenges to Azerbaijan's repopulation, development, and integration efforts in the region.
