Taiwan develops indigenous satellite system similar to Starlink for emergency internet connectivity.

Taiwan is developing a smaller-scale, domestic version of Elon Musk's Starlink satellite system to maintain internet connectivity in case of emergencies or hostilities with China. The island's space agency, led by Director-General Wu Jong-shinn, is in an experimental development stage for the new indigenous communication satellites, which aim to provide internet access similar to Starlink's network.
