Boone County tornado siren repaired after lightning strike caused malfunction. The siren at 5400 block of North Highway 763 malfunctioned on Thursday due to a lightning strike, but has since been repaired and is functioning correctly, according to a Boone County Office of Emergency Management press release. The office asks anyone who believes a siren is not working correctly to call 573-554-7900.
