23-year-old Wausau middle school teacher, Nevan Larson, pleaded not guilty to possessing cocaine on school property. Larson was arrested after the school resource officer received information that he may have cocaine in his vehicle. A K9 sniff led to the discovery of approximately 1 gram of cocaine in Larson's vehicle. He has been released on a $2,500 signature bond and is currently on a leave of absence pending the outcome of the investigation. The school district has found no indication of students being involved at this time.
