15-year-old girl at Decatur High School arrested for firing gun during a fight, causing a lockdown. The suspect, a student, was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon on school property, and possession of a firearm by a person under 18. Lockdowns were also briefly implemented at the nearby Beacon Hill Middle School. School officials confirmed all students and staff were safe after the incident.
