Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors approved rezoning for 17 sites and 9 county-owned sites to potentially produce over 5,000 housing units, including 50 lower-income and 132 above-moderate-income units at the Bailard site. The decision followed recommendations from the county Planning Commission. The county also plans to revise their plans for North County to increase lower-income housing.
