Sabah Chief Minister urges Forestry Department to boost revenue to RM165m by year-end through forest produce, carbon trading, green energy, and research commercialization.

Sabah Chief Minister Hajiji Noor urged the Sabah Forestry Department to boost revenue from the forestry industry, aiming to reach RM165 million by year-end. This target will be achieved through forest produce, carbon trading, green energy, and research commercialization. The department plans to certify all managed forests by 2025 and is planting 4.75 million trees towards its 2023 target of 7.9 million trees.
