Richelieu Hardware Canada Ltd. was fined $260,000 after a worker was seriously injured in Saskatoon while attempting to load a 4,000-pound crate of glass onto a truck. The company pleaded guilty to failing to ensure workers were trained in safe rigging practices, violating Saskatchewan's occupational health and safety regulations. The fine includes a $185,714.29 fine and a $74,285.71 surcharge.
