The Philadelphia Phillies have placed right-handed pitcher Yunior Marte on the 15-day injured list due to shoulder inflammation. Marte, with a 2.70 ERA in 12 appearances, is replaced by right-hander Jose Ruiz, who has a 1.64 ERA in 10 relief appearances at Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Ruiz, a 29-year-old non-roster invitee to Phillies spring training, has appeared in 212 major league games over parts of seven seasons.
