Oklahoma State Treasurer Todd Russ added Barclays Plc to his list of companies accused of boycotting the fossil fuel industry, as the British bank does not provide project financing to energy clients for upstream oil and gas expansion projects or related infrastructure. Oklahoma's 2022 Republican-backed law prohibits state agencies and political subdivisions from contracting with companies that boycott energy firms.
