Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari has been booked for making derogatory remarks against BJP leader Imarti Devi. Patwari apologized for the comments, but BJP leader Imarti Devi filed an FIR at Gwalior's Dabra police station. Patwari is charged under Section 509 (insult the modesty of any woman) and provisions of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act. The alleged offensive statement was made during a public rally in Gwalior.
