Italian researchers from IIT have developed a vitamin C-rich, biodegradable bandage to accelerate burn wound healing. Made from zein (maize), pectin (fruit peels), and soy lecithin (soybeans), the bandage can prevent inflammation increases and reduce free radicals, speeding up the healing process. Environmentally friendly, the bandage naturally degrades in a few days, addressing waste concerns.
