Kim Reynolds has signed a new law extending the state's crosswalk protection law, requiring vehicles to yield to bicyclists and pedestrians using mobility devices in addition to pedestrians. The Iowa Bicycle Coalition, AARP Iowa, and the University of Iowa Injury Prevention Research Center supported the bill, which aims to make Iowa's roads and crosswalks safer for all users.
