Fresno Unified's Board of Trustees has appointed Misty Her as interim superintendent, effective May 8. Her, who has served as the district's deputy superintendent since 2021, is the first woman to lead the district. The appointment comes as the board continues its search for a permanent superintendent, following the departure of current superintendent Bob Nelson, who is leaving in July.
