29 contractors accused by Ogoni Peoples Assembly for failing to execute N80bn clean-up contracts for Ogoniland HYPREP projects.

The Ogoni Peoples Assembly (OPA) accuses 29 contractors of failing to execute N80bn ($193m) clean-up contracts for the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP) in Ogoniland. Out of 39 allocated sites, only two have made significant progress. OPA demands revocation of contractors' sureties, performance bonds, and APG within seven days, their de-qualification from future government contracts, and recovery of 30% mobilisation funds.
