Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRRUA) in New Mexico has improved its compliance rate to 70% after addressing 41 of the 58 deficiencies identified by the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) in a 2023 Sanitary Survey. The remaining issues include insufficient emergency response plans, inadequate operations and maintenance plans, lack of treatment plant alarms, and inadequate replacement equipment for critical processes. CRRUA supplies water to Sunland Park and Santa Teresa and continues to work towards full compliance.
