Berrien County approves $1m deal with MEC to expand broadband access to 266 unserved properties in Buchanan Township.
Berrien County's Board of Commissioners approved a $1m deal with Midwest Energy and Communications (MEC) to expand broadband access to 266 unserved properties in Buchanan Township. The county will contribute $445k, Buchanan Township $173k, and MEC $399k, with the goal of achieving full connectivity throughout the county. They are also addressing the remaining 1,600 unserved properties along the lakeshore.
